Happy Tails is an educational program dedicated to teaching individuals with disabilities the skills they will need to train their own dogs to become service dogs. This in turn will lead to greater independence in their homes, neighborhoods and communities. Learned tasks are based on individual needs of the owner thus enhancing their daily activities.

"Section 36.302 (c) (1) of the Americans with Disabilities Act requires that a public accommodation modify its policies, practices or procedures to permit the use of a service animal by an individual with a disability in any area open to the general public..." Requiring an individual with a disability to be separated from a service animal would violate this section.
